Since 2004, our team has strived to offer the best care to every one of our patients. With Dr. Katie Hones, our lead Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and the rest of our staff, we are dedicated to caring for your pets no matter the situation.
We understand the importance of your pet’s health, and we work hard to help every dog, cat, bird, small mammal, and ranch animal feel cared for.

Dr. Katie Hones

Koleen
Veterinary Technician
Koleen has been a Veterinary Technician at our clinic since February 2020. Her passion for caring for animals began in childhood and has grown into a rewarding career dedicated to improving the lives of animals both big and small.
In 2018, she graduated from Eastern Wyoming College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. Since joining the clinic, Koleen has enjoyed building relationships with clients and providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
She is committed to ensuring every animal receives the attention and care they deserve while helping pet owners navigate their pets’ healthcare needs.

Amanda Porter
Veterinary Technician
Amanda joined the Hones Veterinary team in October 2022 and loves helping care for the pets of her community.
A Wyoming native, she enjoys spending time in the mountains, beekeeping, running marathons, and making memories with her husband, children, friends, and family.
Amanda graduated from Rawlins High School in 2005 and is currently pursuing her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology.

Makenlee Patterson
Customer Service Representative
Makenlee Patterson has lived in Rawlins her whole life and recently graduated from high school. During her senior year, she had the wonderful opportunity to job shadow at Hones Veterinary Service and loved every minute of it.
She has always had an interest in animals and has two dogs and three horses. She has also used her dogs to participate in the Carbon County 4-H program and has been involved in 4-H for 11 years.
This fall, Makenlee will be attending Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to pursue a degree in Business. She hopes to continue toward veterinary school in the future.
She is grateful to be starting her veterinary career at such a wonderful clinic and hopes to take the knowledge she learns here everywhere she goes.

Allie Skidgel
Customer Service Representative
Allie joined the Hones Veterinary staff as a Veterinary Receptionist in April 2025. She was raised right here in Rawlins, Wyoming, and graduated from Rawlins High School in 2024 after participating in dual enrollment courses in English and History.
In her free time, Allie enjoys fishing, baking, hiking, writing, reading, and playing tennis and golf. She also loves spending time with her cats, Blake and Tommy, and her three Labs, Zona, Pearl, and Scout.
A full-time aunt to six nieces and nephews, Allie enjoys sharing as many of her hobbies with them as she can. You’ll find her greeting you with a smile at the front desk, most likely with an iced coffee in hand.
